Microsoft Azure Information Protection Viewer application requires either Microsoft Azure Rights Management for individuals or an RMS enabled Office 365 account. To access the application, you can create a free account through the Azure Information Protection page. It is important to note that Microsoft Accounts (such as Live, Hotmail or Outlook.com) cannot be used for sign-in purposes.

The Azure Information Protection app provides a secure platform for collaborative work. It allows you to view protected files, including rights-protected email messages, PDF files, pictures, text files, and any other file format protected as a .pfile, that have been shared with you by others.

With the Azure Information Protection app, you can have peace of mind knowing that your files are secure and can only be accessed by trusted users with whom you have shared them.

Additionally, IT administrators have the capability to deploy and manage the application for devices enrolled in Intune.
